Once you have chosen the course you wish to study you should follow the steps below:
Complete and submit your Grimsby Institute International application formPlease selcet a course that you are interested in by selecting one of our courses in the international section before you continue to apply please check your English Language proficiency. You will need to provide evidence of English Language proficiency by means of an approved English test.

If you are applying for a degree (Undergraduate) course you will also have to apply via the UCAS system – see number 7 below.
Conditional OfferWe will carefully assess your application against the course entry requirements and if you are suitable for your chosen course we will email a conditional offer letter to the email address stated on your application form.
Fulfil any ConditionsYour conditional offer letter will specify the course name, duration and dates, fee payment schedule and also whether you are required to submit any further documentation in order to receive a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies). Please read your offer letter carefully and send any requested documentation as soon as possible via any of the methods stated above.
Course FeesOnce you have met all of the conditions stated on the offer letter you will then need to pay your first year's course fees requested on the offer letter. You can pay by electronic bank transfer or credit card. All payments are accepted in line with Grimsby Institute's Terms and Conditions for International Students.
Receive a CAS/Unconditional OfferOnce we receive the payment we will email you a Confirmation of Acceptance for Study Number, which you will need to apply for your visa.
Apply for a visaPlease refer to the UK Border Agency website, www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk, for full information of visa types and visa application processing. After you have received your Visa - You will need to book your flight and confirm to us when you will arrive. You will need to let us know whether you will require accommodation at The Grimsby Institute.
Undergraduate Applicants – UCAS applicationAll applications for admission on to full-time Higher Education courses at the University Centre Grimsby are to be made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), which provides administration for all Higher Education applications. It is preferable that you have a visa in order to make a UCAS application
It will cost £23 for applications made to multiple institutions through UCAS in 2013 (you are eligible to apply for a maximum of 5 choices) or £12 for an application to a single institution.

- Complete the applications form and provide supporting documents
- Receive an offer of study from the Grimsby Institute
- Accept the offer
- Provide supporting documents to meet all the conditions in your offer
- Provide a copy of your passport
- Recieve a CAS
- Apply for a visa
- Apply for accommodation
- Plan your arrival date and inform the international office
- Book your flights
Arriving in the UKWe can provide a free meet and greet service for international students on certain days of the year. This will be provided at a small additional cost and when you arrive you will be welcomed to the Grimsby Institute by the International Centre staff.
